VFSB - Fire Prevention and Control Committee

Fire Prevention and Control Committee leads efforts to reduce fire risks through prevention strategies, public education, code development and coordination of fire control policies and practices.   

The committee advises the Virginia Fire Services Board and Agency on developing and implementing the Virginia Fire Prevention and Control Plan. It also supports the creation of a statewide system for collecting, analyzing and reporting fire-related data and evaluates fire prevention and protection programs in offering recommendations to enhance fire safety across the Commonwealth.
